About Keeping Kittens

Hello, my name is Cathy Doggins. With a name like Cathy, it was only natural that I'd write about cats. I have worked with and cared for kittens, cats, dogs and other types of small animals for many years. I noticed that there was a lot of information about cats online, but not so much about kitten care. So I created Keeping Kittens to help people learn about caring for their kittens ages 0 - 12 months.

All questions submitted to the site are reviewed and answered by a veterinarian. Keeping Kittens is not a substitute for a veterinary health professional. Our goal is to help owners become more informed about kitten care so that they can ask smart questions when visiting the vet.

The site does accept advertising or other forms of compensation when certain products are mentioned. Such compensation does not influence the information or recommendations made. We always give our honest opinions, findings, beliefs, or experience.

When you conduct a search using the box on the right, it looks through hundreds of reader questions and articles on every aspect of cat health care from this site and from our sister site, the Cat Health Guide. I'd be surprised if you don't find what you are looking for. If you still have a question, I'd suggest completing the contact form (we never charge a fee) below or using a reputable online veterinary service that does charge a small fee such as this one that has Veterinarians standing by 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to answer your question. You only pay if you like the quality of the answer received.
